USCIS Will Create and Provide Proof of Status for Some Asylum and LPR Cases

USCIS announced that it would create and provide documented evidence of status to some new asylees and lawful permanent residents (LPR) once the agency receives notification from an immigration judge or the Board of Immigration Appeals. Individuals should still contact the USCIS Contact Center for their proof of status documents because USCIS is not notified in every case.
