Philippines Updates Requirements for Recruitment

The Philippines Department of Labor and Employment (“DOLE”) issued Advisory No. 07-21 dated June 10, 2021, regarding the submission of proof of publication in relation to the publication of job vacancies of employers as required by Department Order No. 221, Series of 2021.

The new advisory requires that in addition to the Affidavit executed by a company representative, an additional Affidavit of Publication, executed by the publisher, will also be required and which should include the following:

1. Name of newspaper
2. Date of publication
3. Name of employer company
4. Available position
5. Number of job vacancies
6. Copy of news clipping/job ad

Previously, an Affidavit executed by a company representative and attaching the publication as published was sufficient.
