Sebastian Zavala

Associate Attorney

Sebastian Zavala is an associate attorney at Erickson Immigration Group. He is a member of the firm’s Labs team, which focuses on intricate US work visas, including O-1, L-1, and EB-1 petitions.

Sebastian’s legal career began in the public sector. He gained invaluable experience as an Adjudications Officer in the San Francisco District Office for the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS), working on naturalization and adjustment of status cases and learning how USCIS works from the inside. As a community advocate, he designed and managed the largest DACA, Citizenship, and U Visa programs in the San Francisco Bay Area and the most extensive national screening program for undocumented immigrants.  

Sebastian specializes in visas for people of extraordinary abilities and international recognition from all walks of life, including skateboarders, scientists, designers, artists, performing artists, and entrepreneurs.  

Sebastian is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and part of the Art Culture Entertainment and Sciences and Global Mobility interest groups.

Sebastian is currently the Board President of Foresight for Culture, Inc. a non-profit organization that advocates for international artists and athletes, and a Board Advisor to the American Indian Film Institute, the nation’s oldest and longest-running indigenous media organization.
