Israel’s temporary order authorizing a monthly “adjustment grant” for new immigrants fleeing Russia’s invasion of Ukraine will end in February. The grant expired, and the Aliyah and Integration Ministry does not plan to extend the order.
By the numbers: 23,940 immigrants have received at least one payment since April 2022. As of February 2023, 26,300 current recipients will stop receiving it.
According to reports, the government plans to phase out the grant program for other immigrants as well. However, the process and timeline have not been revealed.
