Germany Expands High-Risk List, Adds United States

The Government of Germany has expanded the High-Risk List to include Cyprus, Finland, Monaco, Portugal, Spain, and United States. From December 25, travelers from these countries will have to follow stricter entry protocols.

What to Expect
  • Unvaccinated and unrecovered travelers from High-Risk countries are required to provide negative results of a COVID-19 test taken pre-departure, and quarantine on arrival. The quarantine may be ended early with proof of a negative COVID-19 test, vaccination, or recovery.

Austria, Belize, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Malaysia, and Serbia were removed from the High-Risk List.

The Virus Variant list and requirements remain unchanged.
