Greece | On Thursday, the government ordered a three-week lockdown following significant increases in COVID-19. All retail except for groceries and pharmacies will have to close, and Greeks will have to have a permit to leave the house.

Hungary | From Tuesday, a nighttime curfew from 8 pm to 5 am will be in effect. Universities and restaurants will close, and there will be attendance limits on sporting venues and other gatherings. These restrictions are set to last for 30 days but may be extended.

Mexico | From Monday, the Mexican states of Durango and Chihuahua will have the highest level of coronavirus alerts.

Norway | The capital city of Oslo will have a “social lockdown” as theaters, gyms, and other gathering places close, and bars and restaurants cannot serve alcohol. The three-week ban begins on Monday.

Portugal | On Friday, the parliament approved a new state of emergency to begin on Monday. The state of emergency follows other recent incremental increased measures to contain and curb the coronavirus’s spread.
