Changes in Irish Resident Permit Registration and Renewals

With effect from April 8, 2024, the first-time registration of Irish residence permissions for customers based in Meath, Kildare, and Wicklow will be carried out at the Registration Office, 13-14 Burgh Quay, Dublin 2.

Also effective April 8, 2024, online renewals of permissions of those living in counties Meath, Kildare and Wicklow should be submitted online just like for Dublin  at https://inisonline.jahs.ie. Applicants will not need to attend the Burgh Quay Registration Office in person anymore.

This change is part of a pilot program to streamline the application process throughout the country, and other counties will be added to the list above. Otherwise, GNIB will continue to undertake first registrations and renewal responsibilities for applicants living outside the of counties Dublin, Meath, Kildare and Wicklow.
