On October 26, 2018, Brazil introduced a new visa granting a temporary visa and residence authorization for foreign nationals migrating to Brazil to receive technical training. The applicant will receive a visa valid for a stay of up to 90 days without requiring previous approval from the Brazilian Ministry of Labor. If the proposed length of stay is longer than 90 days, approval from the Ministry of Labor is required. This approval can be requested at either a Brazilian Consulate abroad or under an “in-country” procedure.
