On January 25, USCIS updated its policy manual with new guidance clarifying how the agency determines whether a case warrants expedited treatment. In the update, USCIS explains that they consider each expedite request on a case-by-case basis, and such requests may be impacted by USCIS’s need to complete an on-site inspection or when an application is ancillary to a primary benefit request.
The updated policy, including examples of circumstances that would require expedited treatment, can be found here.
