USCIS Temporarily Waives Form I-693 60-Day Requirement

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services is temporarily waiving the requirement that the civil surgeon sign Form I-693, Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record, within 60 days of filing an application for the underlying immigration benefit (including Form I-485, Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status).

The temporary waiver will allow immigration medical exams to maintain their validity for more than 60 days prior to filing Form I-485.

The change from USCIS aims to alleviate the processing delays brought on by the pandemic and other events. The deadline will be waived until September 30, 2022.
