On April 23, 2018, USCIS released an updated version of E-Verify with several new features aimed at making the system more user-friendly. The changes will improve users’ abilities to catch and correct their own errors instead of waiting for a Tentative Nonconfirmation (TNC). Added features include:
- Smartphone/tablet compatibility for photos and documents;
- Data matching to reduce Tentative Nonconfirmations (TNCs);
- “Are You Sure?” alerts that notify users of fields that may trigger a TNC;
- Ability to enter multiple last names.
