Starting April 13, USCIS began accepting H-2B petitions for the late second half of FY 2023 for employment start dates from May 15, 2023, to September 30, 2023. The 10,000 available visas are for returning workers who were issued or held H-2B status in FY 2020, 2021, or 2022. Petitions requesting supplemental allocations must be filed at the California Service Center. If petitions are filled at other locations, they will be rejected, and filing fees will be returned. USCIS is still accepting H-2B petitions set aside for El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Haiti nationals.
