Despite the improvements, the visa issuance rates still vary dramatically by region, with countries like India experiencing months-long waits for visa appointments. A report by the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) provides specific recommendations, such as stateside processing for visa renewals and extensions of interview waivers.
