US Seeks to Reduce Waivers for Immigration Fees

USCIS recently announced a proposal limiting the qualifications for those who seek to obtain fee waivers. As USCIS is fully funded by the fees it charges, if approved, the proposal will reverse the current program which allots wider latitude to those who may qualify for a fee waiver. If approved, the new proposal will limit the waivers to individuals making less than 150% of the federal poverty line.
