UK | Government Warns of Holiday-Travel Delays

The UK government is preparing the border ahead of Border Force strike action set to begin on December 23. The government is working closely with the ports, airports, and travel industry to minimize delays for passengers and ensure the flow of goods at the border.

Still, travelers should expect delays and be prepared for longer wait times. The eGates will continue to function, and travelers eligible to use them should do so.

The Border Force strike days are December 23 – 26 (until about 7 am), December 28 – 31 (until about 7 am) at Birmingham Airport, Cardiff Airport, Gatwick Airport, Glasgow Airport, Heathrow Airport – Terminals 2,3,4,5, Manchester Airport, and the Port of Newhaven.
