The Government of Turkey is planning a new “Tech Visa,” and while the new route’s details are not finalized the government has launched a dedicated website to promote the program.
The Tech Visa will be open to “startups and talent” and have different benefits for both categories. For all categories, the Tech Visa will have a duration of three years and will not have any nationality restrictions. Applicants can inlude their spouse and minor children in their application.
Turkey Tech Visa Benefits
- For Talent, the benefits include: income tax exemption for Tech Visa holders working in Turkish companies and conducting R&D activities; social security premium support; and individual consultancy services with details to be determined.
- For Startups, the benefits include: three-year work permits for staff and recruits from other countries; welcome consultancy services with free assistance establishing the company, tax and legislation services, office location, sourcing mentors, and accessing government support programs for R&D and marketing; access to Turkey’s Tech Visa Fund and government grants; tax exemptions, and free access to the health system for the start-up’s staff.
