U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has announced that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is now an official partner in the Global Entry program, expanding trusted traveler benefits to eligible Saudi citizens and strengthening travel and security cooperation between the two countries.
With this addition, Saudi Arabia becomes the 23rd international Global Entry partner country.
What This Means for Saudi Travelers
Eligible Saudi Arabian citizens may now apply for Global Entry membership, which provides:
- Expedited immigration clearance when arriving in the United States.
- Access to TSA PreCheck benefits for eligible domestic flights.
- Faster processing through designated Global Entry kiosks and mobile entry platforms.
As with all Global Entry applicants, Saudi nationals must undergo extensive background screening by both U.S. and Saudi authorities before approval.
Application Process
Applicants will be required to:
- Submit a Global Entry application through the Trusted Traveler Programs (TTP) system.
- Successfully complete security and background checks conducted by both governments.
- Attend an in-person interview with CBP before enrollment.
Membership is generally valid for five years, provided participants continue to comply with program requirements.
Trusted Traveler App Integration
Saudi applicants can also use CBP’s recently launched Trusted Traveler App to manage the enrollment process.
The application allows users to:
- Apply for Trusted Traveler Programs.
- Check application and membership status.
- Schedule enrollment interviews.
- Renew memberships.
- Confirm arrivals into the United States after enrollment.
The app is part of CBP’s broader effort to modernize and simplify international travel procedures.
Growing Global Entry Network
Saudi Arabia joins a growing list of Global Entry partner countries, including:
- Australia
- Bahrain
- Brazil
- Colombia
- Germany
- India
- Japan
- Jordan
- Mexico
- Singapore
- Switzerland
- United Arab Emirates
- United Kingdom
and several others.
The expansion reflects CBP’s continued focus on facilitating secure and efficient travel for pre-screened, low-risk travelers while strengthening international cooperation.
