The United States, Canada, and Mexico Extend Border Restrictions

The governments of the United States, Canada, and Mexico are extending, until July 21, 2021,11:59 p.m. EDT, the temporary restrictions on non-essential travel.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has said that Canada’s border will remain closed until 75% of Canadians have received the first of a two-dose vaccine.

The White House is engaged in ongoing working-group meetings with Canada and Mexico to review current travel restrictions and future plans.
