Effective March 23, all EU or Schengen Area travelers to the Netherlands will be permitted to enter restriction-free. This applies regardless of a traveler’s vaccination status.
Key Changes
- EU and Schengen Area travelers will not have to present proof of vaccination or recovery or test results upon arrival.
- The policy will also apply to EU or Schengen Area travelers coming from a third country.
- Non-EU or Schengen Area third-country travelers only have to provide a valid vaccination or recovery certificate upon entry.
For the Netherlands, a vaccination certificate is valid for nine months from the primary vaccine shot. Recovery certificates are valid for six months.
