Sweden Lifts Health-Related Travel Restrictions

The Government of Sweden announced that starting from February 9, travelers from the EU/Schengen Area can enter Sweden without restriction. This is regardless of the traveler’s vaccination or recovery status.

Travelers will no longer need to present the EU Digital COVID Certificate or other proof of vaccination, recovery, or negative test results.

However, the entry ban for travelers coming from a country outside of the EU/EEA, except Switzerland, remains in effect until March 31, 2022. Third-country travelers will need to be covered by an exemption, and in most cases, the EU Covid Certificate or a negative COVID-19 test taken within 72 hours is required.
