The new threshold for a work permit in Sweden will be 27 360 SEK/month. The changes are proposed to enter into force on November 1, 2023.
- Full time or part time will not be taken into consideration.
- Pending applications after November 1 will have to adjust the salary if not meeting the threshold.
- The salary threshold is adjusted yearly based on 80% of the median salary.
- Exceptions for athletes, EU Blue Card, ICT, researchers, interns, foreign talent on residency permits as dependents, and seasonal workers.
