The Spanish government has announced a new visa program granting a temporary residence permit to undocumented migrants who have lived in Spain for at least two years if they participate in vocational training.
- Migrants will be required to show specific skills and a minimum knowledge of the Spanish language.
- Applicants must show a continuous stay of at least two years in Spain, with out-of-country absences not exceeding 90 days.
- The program will open on March 1, 2023.
The new visa program may help Spain address the labor shortage across several industries and sectors.
