From the second half of 2024, all international visitors to Singapore, regardless of their nationality, will be able to pass through immigration at air, land, and sea checkpoint using automated entry lanes. Singapore is the first country in the world to offer this.
What to Expect from Singapore’s Automated Lanes
- Foreign nationals will be able to use the automated lanes without first registering.
- When leaving Singapore, travelers will not have to present their passport.
- The automated lanes use multi-modal biometrics, that capture a traveler’s fingerprints, facial and iris details
- Currently, the automated lanes can be used only by Singapore residents and passport holders from 60 jurisdictions.
