Singapore Reopens to Travelers from South Asia

Singapore will reopen to travelers from Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka from Wednesday, October 27. The Ministry of Health also eased measures from travelers from Category III countries, including neighboring Indonesia and Malaysia.

What to Expect

Singapore continues to relax border measures and public health requirements.

  • Travelers with a 14-day travel history to Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka will be permitted to enter from October 27.
  • Travelers from Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka will have to complete a 10-day stay-home notice (SHN) at a dedicated facility.
  • Travelers from Category III countries — Cambodia, Egypt, Estonia, Hungary, Indonesia, Israel, Latvia, Lithuania, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Qatar, Rwanda, Samoa, Seychelles, Slovenia, South Africa, Tonga, the United Arab Emirates, and Vietnam — may complete their 10-day SHN at a personal residence or other accommodation.

Singapore classifies countries in categories I – IV. Under the current measures, travelers from Category I countries and Category II countries on VTL flights only need to take a PCR test on arrival.  Travelers from Category II countries, not on a VTL flight, will have to take a PCR test at the end of their 7-day SHN. Travelers from Category III and IV countries will have to take a PCR test at the end of their 10-day SHN.
