Shutdown Update: Impact on Federal Agencies at the Airport.

In the fourth week of the partial federal government shutdown, the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is feeling the effects of the partial government shutdown. Travelers are reporting longer wait times at the airport, as Transportation Security Administration (TSA) employees have been calling out sick and not reporting to work. TSA agents have been working without pay since December 21, 2018. In addition to TSA agents, Custom and Border Protection (CBP) has also been affected by the partial government shutdown. Some Deferred Inspection sites, such as the San Francisco deferred inspection office, will not be operating during the shutdown. This will impact employees who require I-94 corrections.
