The UK has officially launched a new immigration route, allowing international graduates to begin and build their careers in the UK after they have finished their studies at a UK university.
From July 1, the Graduate route is an opportunity for international graduates who have been awarded their degree from a UK university to stay in the UK and work, or look for work, at any skill level for at least 2 years.
The new route is part of the points-based immigration system.
Who is Eligible?
- International graduates must have completed an eligible course at an approved UK higher education provider.
- Applicants do not have to have a sponsor or job offer to apply to the route. There are no salary minimums or caps.
- To accommodate the various travel restrictions due to the coronavirus, students who began their coursework in Fall 2020/Spring 2021, will need to be in the UK with permission as a student by September 27, 2021.
