Senior Managing Attorney

Jowanda Jones is a senior managing attorney at Erickson Immigration Group, focusing on nonimmigrant and immigrant petitions. At EIG, Jowanda manages and provides comprehensive immigration counsel for business immigration matters, including H-1B, H-1B1, TN, J-1, E-3, PERM, I-140, and Adjustment of Status applications. She works closely with clients expanding and developing their immigration programs in various areas, including but not limited to compliance, policy changes, and based on client’s needs and specifications. 

Before joining EIG, Jowanda worked in-house at a global technology company focusing on nonimmigrant visa petitions. 

Jowanda completed her undergraduate studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she majored in American History. In 2012, she graduated from North Carolina Central University School of Law where she gained immigration experience interning with Legal Aid preparing non-immigrant U-visa petitions for victims of violent crimes, and a boutique law firm drafting employment and family-based petitions.
