Israel Announces Plans to Reopen to Vaccinated Travelers

Israeli government leaders have recommended allowing fully vaccinated tourists to enter Israel as of November 1. However, the reopening plan is still subject to cabinet approval, and more details are expected.

What to Expect
  • Travelers must be vaccinated under an approved vaccine within the past six months or have received a booster shot.
  • Individuals who have recovered from COVID-19 within the past six months may also enter Israel.
  • Prime Minister Naftali Bennett’s office said travelers from “red countries” with higher rates of COVID-19 infection would not be permitted entry.
Additional details regarding testing and quarantine requirements have not been shared at this time.
