The Department of Business, Enterprise and Innovation (DBEI), is requesting that Critical Skills Employment Permit (CSEP) holders apply for Stamp 4 permission once they have completed 20 months on their employment permit. CSEP holders must apply four months in advance of the expiration date. In the past, applicants had to complete 21 months before applying for the Stamp 4 renewal. The change is due to an increase in volume in the processing of Stamp 4 applications. The DBEI has announced that any individual waiting for a final decision on a Stamp 4 application may continue residing and working in the country.
