Ireland | Online Visa Registration System to be Replaced in 2019.

The Department of Justice in Ireland has confirmed that the online system used to secure appointments for Irish re-entry visas and residence permit cards will be replaced in 2019. The current system was meant to replace long lines of applicants outside the office of the Irish Naturalization and Immigration Service (INIS). The system was roundly criticized after internet “bots” were used to block-book appointments that were later sold to applicants overwhelmed by the system.
