Increase Validity Period for the Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record

USCIS recently announced that it will change the validity period for the Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record required to determine whether an applicant for an immigration benefit in the US is inadmissible under health-related grounds. The form is currently valid for one year from the date it is signed by an approved civil surgeon. In an effort to reduce the number of requests to applicants for an updated form, USCIS has changed the manner in which it will calculate the validity period. Beginning November 1, 2018, the form will be valid for a maximum period of 2 years, however, the form must be signed by an approved civil surgeon within 60 days of the date of filing.
