UK Visa and Citizenship Application Centers (VACS) will replace the existing system of applications by-post and in-person submissions at Premium Service Centers. Over the next few months all paper forms will be replaced with the online system, with users being allowed to upload copies of their documents rather than requiring originals. Applicants will still need an in-person biometrics appointment, however now they will be able to keep their passports immediately after the appointment. It is anticipated that the new system will come into being between November 5 and early December 2018.
