Germany | Chancellor Remarks on Easing Immigration for Indian IT Workers

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said his government wants to facilitate Indian immigration to Germany.

In remarks in Bengaluru, India, Scholz said that Germany would modernize the visa-issuing process and legal immigration. Part of the changes that would simplify the immigration process would be to allow certain skilled workers to come to Germany before accepting a job offer and not make German language proficiency a requirement.

These reforms are still in the proposal stage.
