FY 2023 H-1B Cap Registration Timeline Released

On Friday, January 28, 2022, the USCIS announced the initial registration timeline for FY 2023 H-1B cap.

Key Dates
  • February 21, 2022: Registrants can create new accounts
  • March 1 – 18, 2022: H-1B online registration opens
  • March 31, 2022: Selected petitioners should be notified.

Registration will be open from March 1 at noon EST through March 18 at noon EST. During this time, petitioners and their representatives will be able to submit their registration using the USCIS online H-1B registration system.

Prospective petitioners submitting their own registrations (U.S. employers and U.S. agents, collectively known as “registrants”) will use a “registrant” account. Registrants will be able to create new accounts beginning at noon EST on February 21, 2022.

There is a $10 H-1B registration fee for each registered petitioner.

In its announcement, USCIS said if they receive enough registrations by March 18, they will randomly select registrations and send selection notifications via users’ myUSCIS online accounts. Account-holders should be notified by March 31, 2022.
