Estonia Suspends Issuance of Visas and Residence Permits to Russian and Belarusian Nationals

The Government of Estonia is suspending the issuance of visas and residence permits to Russian and Belarusian nationals, further restricting their ability to live and work in the country. The government will not revoke existing residence permits. Russian and Belarusian nationals already legally residing in Estonia will be able to apply for an extension or change of residence following Estonian immigration law.

The government will still process family-based migration and humanitarian visa applications for Russian and Belarusian nationals.

Government officials stated that this new sanction aligns with the already imposed international and state sanctions restricting investments and economic activity.
