As of Thursday, September 21, India’s government has suspended all visa servicing for Canadian nationals indefinitely. This suspension includes routine consular services and e-visa services.
BLS International, which supports India visa application centers in Canada, posted “Important notice from Indian Mission: Due to operational reasons, with effect from 21 September 2023, Indian visa services have been suspended till further notice.”
The Indian government has also issued warnings to citizens living and studying in Canada to exercise caution and remain vigilant.Canada will reduce its diplomatic presence in India citing security concerns.
