The Northern Virginia Technology Council (NVTC), the trade association representing the capital region’s technology community, announced Erickson Immigration Group (EIG) Chief Technology Officer Sanjay Akut as part of the 2021 NVTC Tech 100. The Tech 100 is a roster of cutting-edge companies, executives, innovators, NextGen leaders, and rising stars driving tech innovation, leading economic growth, and making a positive impact in the region.

Akut has a 20-year track record of aligning cutting-edge technology solutions and strategies with business needs to support organizational growth. Within his three-year tenure with EIG, Sanjay has led EIG’s most ambitious technology initiatives. Highlights include the development of Aurora, a customized case management platform in partnership with a recognized industry leader, and achieving ISO27001 and Privacy Shield certifications that further underscore the world-class security program behind EIG’s technology.
Under his leadership, EIG maximizes best-in-class systems to deliver our “Perfect Plus” experience for our clients and their foreign national population.
This year’s program attracted 130 nominations across three award categories: Company, Executive, and NextGen Leader. Each of the nominations were carefully reviewed and considered by a panel of independent judges.
