Updated — Sept. 1, 2023! Starting October 1, 2023, Canadian passport holders will not be able to obtain a visa online before travelling to or upon arrival in Egypt. They will be required to obtain a visa from an Egyptian embassy or consulate abroad.
Electronic visas used by Canadian passport holders on or after October 1, 2023, will be considered void, and they will be denied boarding and/or entry into Egypt.
Canadian passport holders planning to travel to Egypt, should contact the nearest Egyptian embassy or consulate before they go.

Travelers’ passports must be valid for at least 6 months beyond the date they expect to leave Egypt.

Travelers to Egypt with a regular Canadian passport may obtain a tourist visa at an Egyptian airport upon arrival until September 30, 2023. However, the Government of Canada recommends that they obtain a visa from the nearest Egyptian Embassy or consulate prior to departure.
As of October 1, 2023, they will not be able to apply for a tourist visa online via the official website of the Egyptian government.
