The UK government has opened up a new type of Post-Study Work Visa to international students in hopes of recruiting and retaining successful global talent into the country. International students who have a valid immigration status and have completed a course of study at an undergraduate level or above will be eligible to work anywhere in the UK for two years after completing their studies. After the two years, they will be eligible to apply for a skilled work visa. This new visa is part of an innovative new government action plan that aims to open up areas of expansion within the fields of Science, Technology, and Research to the global student community.
