Italy | Government Announcement on EU Exit for British Nationals

TheItalian Government announced that they are working on a declaratory procedure for British nationals living and working in Italy.  The new legislation establishes that if there is no Brexit deal, British citizens currently residing in Italy will remain legal residents and will continue to enjoy access to employment and family reunification rights among others. The legislation will be implemented by March 29, 2019. The Italian government encouraged British nationals to register with the town hall before March 29, 2019. Other EU countries, including the Netherlands, are beginning to follow suit with their own plans for UK nationals within their borders.
