DHS and DOL propose new recruiting requirements for H-2B Employees

The Department of Homeland Security and the Department of Labor proposed a new joint rule that will replace the existing H-2B recruitment requirement from print newspaper advertisements to electronic internet advertisements. It is believed that this replacement will provide U.S. workers in the intended area of job opportunity with better visibility of these openings. Once implemented, there will be a limited transition phase where employers may choose between electronic and print advertisements. USCIS encourages public feedback on the proposed rule before December 10, 2018.
