The Czech Republic’s authorities have announced that Malta will now be placed on its red list, and the color-coded system for foreign travelers will remain in effect until further notice. All the other EU and Schengen Area countries, except the Vatican City State, are also highly-affected countries.
EU and Schengen Area travelers who wish to travel to the Czech Republic will need to fill out an Arrival Form before their arrival and present a valid certificate that falls under the EU Digital COVID-19 Pass. Travelers who present a valid vaccination certificate are permitted restriction-free entry, even if they are traveling from dark-red countries.
Children under 12 years of age from an EU or Schengen Area country are exempt from the requirements.
Additionally, as of February 25, citizens of Ukraine, EU citizens or permanent residents en route from Ukraine, and individuals leaving Ukraine via the Czech Republic to their country of residence or citizenship, are exempted from all COVID-10 obligations. However, individuals traveling to their country of residence or citizenship via the Czech Republic from Ukraine must leave the Czech Republic within 48 hours.
