The Government of Canada announced increased requirements for international travelers, and the end of the entry ban for the 10 African countries.
Additionally, the federal government has changed its official guidance to advise Canadians to avoid all non-essential international travel.
Key Highlights
- From Tuesday, December 21, all travelers will need to get a COVID-19 molecular test before entering Canada. This requirement applies to all travelers, regardless of their vaccination status or the duration of time outside of the country.
- Testing is available and increased at Canadian airports and land border points of entry.
The entry ban on flights from Botswana, Egypt, Eswatini, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Nigeria, South Africa, and Zimbabwe will end on Saturday, December 18, at 11:59 p.m.
