The Government of Australia has announced that from November 21, 2021, fully vaccinated Singaporean citizens will be able to travel to Australia without seeking a travel exemption and quarantine-free to participating states or territories.
Who is Eligible?
Eligible travelers must:
- hold a valid Australian visa.
- be fully vaccinated with a vaccine approved or recognized by Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA)
- depart from Singapore and arrive in a participating Australian state or territory (New South Wales, Victoria, and the Australian Capital Territory)
- provide proof of their vaccination status
- present a negative COVID-19 Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) test taken within 3 days of departure (unless a medical exemption applies).
Eligible travelers will also be asked to complete an Australia Travel Declaration (ATD) at least 72 hours before departure.
Eligible travelers will not need to have been in Singapore for 14 days before their proposed travel.
Family members who are not a citizen of Singapore (and not an Australian citizen or permanent resident) traveling with an eligible Singaporean citizen are not eligible to travel to Australia without a travel exemption.

States and territories are responsible for determining and managing quarantine arrangements. Travelers should check the international and domestic travel restrictions, as they are subject to change and often with little advance notice.
Given the dynamic nature of the Australian State and Federal Governments’ response to COVID-19, Erickson Immigration Group will continue to share updates as more news is available.
