Australia Amends Health Criteria for Certain Visa Holders

Australian authorities announced a change to the regulations related to health care criteria. The change means that a minor visa applicant born and usually resident in Australia no longer has to satisfy the requirement that they are free from a disease or condition which needs health care or community services. The end of this requirement eliminates a significant cost to the Australian community or the risk of prejudice regarding the access of Australian citizens to that health care or community service.
