The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will require Qualification Verification Program (QVP) registration as part of the processing for all Saudi work visas.
The Qualification Verification Program is an initiative designed to verify the academic qualifications of foreign nationals applying to work in Saudi Arabia. It aims to “enhance the quality of recruitment and ensure that all applicants possess the necessary qualifications for their listed occupations.”
What to Expect
The main impact on obtaining a Saudi work visa will be in terms of cost and time. It is expected that the new requirements may add an additional two weeks to the standard processing time. Foreign nationals relocating to KSA will have to account for an additional two weeks as part of the home country pre-approvals for all new Iqama applications.
