The Thai Cabinet has resolved to extend the visa-free period for Indian and Taiwanese tourists.
- Effective Period: The extension is effective from May 11 to November 11, 2024, spanning a period of 6 months.
- Eligibility: Passport holders or individuals with valid documents from India and Taiwan, visiting Thailand for tourism purposes, are entitled to a visa-free stay of up to 30 days.
- Additional Information: The Immigration Bureau has clarified that visa holders can apply for a 30-day extension. Moreover, under the visa exemption for Indian and Taiwanese nationals, if they enter Thailand with a 30-day visa and require employment during their stay, they are allowed to convert their visa to a NON B for employment purposes. The visa must have at least 15 days remaining before filing the application.
