USCIS issued tips for submitting Form I-134A, Online Request to be a Supporter and Declaration of Financial Support. The agency noted it had received multiple duplicate filings for the same beneficiary and inquiries. Duplicate filings create more work and delay processing overall. The best way to know the case status of an I-134A filing is through the applicant’s USCIS online account.
- Check case status by entering the receipt number (which begins with IOE) into Case Status Online at uscis.gov/casestatus. As mentioned above, you can also get case status in your USCIS online account.
- Use the correct form, Form I-134A, which replaced Form I-134 as of January 6, 2023.
- Avoid delays by ensuring the information provided is accurate and without typos and common errors, including misspelled names, incorrect birthdates, passport numbers, and email addresses.
