Venezuela has announced the implementation of a new electronic system for applying for tourist and business visas.
What to Expect
- With the change, orders are now made entirely online, through the website https://cancilleriadigital.mppre.gob.ve/
- Visas are issued in electronic format and sent directly via email to applicants, eliminating the need for in-person attendance at consulates.
- The new measure significantly reduces the analysis time, which goes from approximately six weeks to about 15 days, and improves predictability for travelers and companies.

Despite the digitalization, the recommendation remains to carry a printed version of the visa during the trip, for presentation to the immigration authorities and airlines.
