As of March 2, EB-5 regional centers must pay a fee to support the new EB-5 Integrity Fund, which will pay for fraud and criminal investigations as well as program administration. The fund was authorized by Congress last year under the EB-5 Reform and Integrity Act of 2022.
- The fee will be $10,000 annually for centers with 20 or fewer investors and $20,000 annually for centers with more than 20 investors.
- Payments for the fiscal year 2023 will be due on April 1.
- However, beginning with the fiscal year 2024, payments will be due in October.
- USCIS will, at some point in the future, announce additional charges for late payments, and regional centers that do not pay within 90 days of the due date will be subject to termination.
